Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa district after 2.00 p.m while a few showers may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces during the morning. Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere of the island.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. A few showers will occur in Anuradhapura district.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Northern and North-central provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts. Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over other areas of the island.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
