Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the morning

A few showers may occur in coastal areas of the western and southern provinces during the morning  while showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Uva, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Eastern provinces.

Winds will be southerly to south-westerly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.

.The sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar will be moderate.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Central, Uva, North-central and Eastern provinces after 1.00 p.m.

Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee district.
