Showers may occur at some places in the Western province and in Puttalam district during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most provinces of the island after 01.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Southern and Western provinces.
Winds will be North-easterly or variable in direction over the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, North-central and Uva provinces and in Galle, Matara, Ampara and Vavuniya districts during the early hours of the morning.
There is a possibility of ground frost at some places in the Nuwara-Eliya district in the early hours of the morning.
Mainly dry weather will prevail in the most parts of the island.
