Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central and Uva provinces during the morning.
Showers may occur in Southern and Western provinces and Puttalam, Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at most places of the island during the afternoon or night. Fairly heavy rain fall about 75 mm is likely at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Hambantota and Ampara districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers will occur at times in the Eastern, Central, Northern, North-central and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Central and Uva provinces and in Batticaloa and Ampara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in these areas. A few showers may occur in the coastal areas of the North-western and Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
