Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces. Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places

Sowers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere during the afternoon or night.

Showers may occur in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning too.

Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (25-35) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to 40 kmph at times off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.

The possibility for sudden roughness is high in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Hambanthota via Galle and Matara. while the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar will be fairly rough at times. The other sea areas around the Island will be moderate.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Under the influence of the system, cloudy skies and showers or thundershowers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces, and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places. elsewhere of the island after 1.00 p.m.
