Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee District.

Showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-Western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Anuradhapura and Mannar districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in most parts of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-Western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Anuradhapura and Mannar districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
