Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Several spells of showers will occur in Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces and in Trincomalee District.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Under the influence of the system, cloudy skies and showers or thundershowers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces, and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places. elsewhere of the island after 1.00 p.m.
