Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
Several spells of light showers may occur in the coastal areas of the Batticaloa, Ampara and Hambanthota districts.
Winds will be easterly or north-easterly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Prevailing showery condition over the island is expected to be reduced from today (04).
A few showers may occur in Eastern coastal areas during the morning while showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts in the evening or night.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night.
