Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-Central and North western provinces and in Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Mannar districts during the afternoon or night and fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places elsewhere during the afternoon or night.

Winds will be south-westerly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.

Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, North-central, North-western and Southern provinces.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
