Showers will occur at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara districts while several spells of showers may occur in the North-western province. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the afternoon or night.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in most parts of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Northern, North-central, Eastern, North-western and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
