MJ and Sanga in Sports Council
Former Test captain Mahela Jayawardene has been named as Chairman of the Sports Council, Sports Ministry said yesterday. Former captain Kumar Sangakkara is also part of the committee that comprises several reputed ex-sportsmen.
DIALOG CEO, Supun Weerasinghe is also in the committee. The telecom giant is the major sponsor of sports in the country.
Army Commander Lieutenant General Shaveendra Silva is a Committee Member.
