Is NPP (JVP) just an agency of others who will run the country?

NPP (JVP) leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake recently addressing a propaganda meeting said that people ask them how they propose to improve the economy, small and medium industrial sector and also the country’s security and international relations. As the reply to that query, he went on to give a list of names of several academics (including their own Handunneti) who have no practical experience in any field (other than being the chairman of COPE) who could handle the economy. With regard to security he said the JVP has already had discussions with several retired Generals. Re international relations he did not reveal their strategy, but criticized the way the subject is being handled now.
Did he use his long speech – more than an hour – to say that the NPP (JVP) is an agency which is capable of supplying experts in any field to run the country if the people of Sri Lanka elect them to power? Anura Kumara, who is going to depend on some untested individuals if he comes into power, says in the same breath that they won’t join coalitions ever again.
When the Galle Face Aragalaya started, the JVP made sarcastic comments on it as they usually do not like others performing such a gigantic task. When they noticed it was gaining huge public support, they surreptitiously sent in their cadre to join and started saying they were backing it all the time.
People are disillusioned with all those so-called clever individuals who were/are dealing with all aspects of the country and NPP (JVP) is asking them to experiment with a new set of people. Almost all our politicians do/did not have any experience in running even a small boutique or working as a sanitary labourer. They just selected an occupation (politics) which does not need any education, experience or expertise. But people continuously deceive themselves by electing such persons expecting to achieve vistas of Prosperity and Splendour. NPP (JVP) frequently shouts about a ’74-year Curse (Saapaya)’, conveniently hiding its own contribution towards that curse in 1971 and 1989.
