If harm befalls him, govt. must take full responsibility, says Sumanthiran
By Dinasena Ratugamage
The government should take the responsibility if something happened to his life, because the STF guard given to him was removed, TNA MP M. A. Sumanthiran told journalists yesterday in Jaffna when they asked him about the removal of the police commando security given to him.
Sumanthiran said that it was unfair to remove his STF security because he took part in a protest march.
The TNA MP said that the protest march, organised by him and others, was about winning 10 legitimate demands from the government.
Sumanthiran said that his life was under threat because of some actions taken by the government. The court cases against those who allegedly attempted to kill him had? not even been finalized and there was a serious threat to his life.
The MP said he would also talk about the threat to his life in Parliament.
