Showery weather condition is expected to enhance over the island due to an atmospheric disturbance over the South-east Bay of Bengal Sea area.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-central and Eastern provinces and at several places in other provinces of the island after 01.00 p.m. Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in Northern, Eastern, Central and Uva provinces.
Winds will be North-easterly. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph in the sea areas off the coast extending from Chilaw to Trincomalee via Puttalam, Kankasanthurai and (20-30) kmph in the other sea areas around the island.

Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Southern and North-central provinces and in Trincomalee district.
