Weather forecast issued at 05.30 a.m. on 15 March 2024 by the Department of Meteorology

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern and Central provinces the evening or night. Mainly dry weather will prevail elsewhere of the island.

Winds will be easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.

Sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate.
