Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya district during the evening or night. Mainly dry weather will prevail elsewhere of the island.
Winds will be easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30)kmph.
Sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Ampara and Monaragala districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of Central hills, the Northern, North-central, Central and North-western provinces and in Rathnapura, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
