AIA and NDB Wealth strike deal to insure high net worth clients

AIA Insurance and NDB Wealth Management last week annonced a strategic partnership to enter untapped market segments of high net worth (HNW) clientele and provide them with comprehensive insurance solutions that fulfils their protection, retirement and health requirements, all under one roof, an AIA news release said.
It explained that the partnership was strengthened by NDB Wealth Management’s strong presence, network and brand reputation, combined with AIA’s 100-years of expertise in the region. The agreement reflects NDB Wealth Management and AIA’s strategy of delivering robust financial and insurance solutions.
The deal was described as a strategic move that is expected to benefit both companies, as well as their customers. AIA aims to expand its distribution reach, while NDB Wealth Management offers its customers a wider range of financial and insurance solutions.
“Over the last few years, both partners have invested in developing the right products for their customers and further integrated both the physical and digital channels to enable customers to transact seamlessly across multiple touchpoints,” the release said.

French Navy Ship ‘BEAUTEMPS BEAUPRE’ arrives in Colombo

The French Navy Ship ‘BEAUTEMPS BEAUPRE’ arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit today. (09 May 25)
The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with time-honoured naval traditions.
The 80.65m long ‘BEAUTEMPS BEAUPRE’ is a Hydrographic Vessel commanded by Commander BERTHEAU Dimitri and she is manned by 58 crew members.
Meanwhile, the Commanding Officer and a group of crew members of the ship are scheduled to call on senior officers of the Sri Lanka National Hydrographic Office (SLNHO) to discuss key hydrographic matters of bilateral importance.
During the stay in the island, crew members of the ship will explore some tourist attractions within the country and the ship is scheduled to set sail from Colombo on 13 May.

2 SLAF gunners, 4 Special Force personnel dead in Bell 212 crash

It has been reported that two Sri Lanka Air Force helicopter gunners and four Special Forces personnel have been pronounced dead after a SLAF Bell 212 helicopter crashed into the Maduru Oya Reservoir this (09) morning.
There were a total of 12 armed forces personnel on board the ill-fated aircraft.
