Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Showers will occur in the western coastal areas during the morning. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Central and North-western provinces and in Anuradhapura, Vavuniya, Mannar, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.

Winds will be South-westerly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via can be fairly rough at times but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
