Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts during the morning

Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western, Uva and Central provinces and in Anuradhapura, Vavuniya, Mannar, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.

Winds will be South-westerly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from   Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara.

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be fairly rough at times but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers..

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers will occur at times in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Several spells of showers may occur in the  Western and North-western provinces.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in thev Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.

Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Monaragala, Hambantota and Matale districts.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
