Udugama MOH completes successful vaccination programme

Udugama Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Division in Nagoda last week completed anti-COVID-19 vaccination programme that lasted for several weeks.

The health officials vaccinated all families in the 53 Grama Niladhari Divisions coming under the purview of Nagoda Divisional Secretariat.

“All adults and children in the 53 GN divisions, as per the official records, have been vaccinated. If any reeident has not been vaccinated as his or her name had not been not in the official documents, could visit the Udugama Base Hospital between 8.00 am and 12, noon during weekdays and obtain the jab by producing his or her National Identity Card,” Assistant Medical Officer of Health, Dr. K.A. Chaminda said.

He said that the programme was completed successfully owing to dedicated services rendered by different government agencies and the people who had realised the importance of obtaining the vaccine as quickly as they could.

He thanked Udugama Medical Officer of Health, Dr. N.P. Wedage and his staff, Nagoda Divisional Secretary Upul Priyankara Dahanayake and all Grama Niladharis in the division, Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Nimal Victor Nagodawithana and local government staff, and OICs of police stations of Nagoda, Udugama and Wanduraba for their untiring efforts to complete the programme.
