Showers may occur in the Eastern province while showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya district. Showers or thundershowers will occur in the other areas after 1.00 p.m. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, Southern and North-western provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
