CMS celebrates 25th anniversary in SL
CMS, a Sri Lanka based IT company, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala celebration on March 7, at the Lotus Ballroom, Shangri La Colombo. The Director-General of BOI, Ms Renuka Weerakone, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
The event was attended by several dignitaries and affiliated partners from Europe, including Ronald Reich & Dino Reich, co-founders of European Computer Services, Emmanuel Poullet, managing director of Bluecorp, and Olivier Loschi (CTO) and Johan Abbink (CBDO) of Redcorp SRL.
The company currently has clients in Europe, the US, and APAC, across multiple industries, providing diverse technical talent from Sri Lanka. CMS is located at ISO/IEC 27001-certified offices at Access Towers, Colombo 02.
In her speech, Weerakone highlighted the importance of Foreign Direct Investments in Sri Lanka and said CMS has been a pioneer in taking Sri Lanka to the world for excellence as an IT offshore provider. She praised CMS for empowering Sri Lankan professionals to experience global trends in the industry and harness that experience and knowledge in their work with global clients. (CMS)

ESOFT Metro Campus launches Cambridge Exam Centre
ESOFT Metro Campus has officially launched its Cambridge Authorised Exam Centre, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s educational landscape. The event featured prominent figures from both ESOFT and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, including Dr. Dayan Rajapakse, Chairman and Managing Director of ESOFT, and Arun Rajamani, Managing Director for South Asia at Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
Dr. Rajapakse highlighted the importance of strong communication skills in today’s globalized world, emphasizing that the new exam centre will provide students, school leavers, and English learners nationwide with an opportunity to improve their language proficiency. He referred to the launch as a “historic milestone” for ESOFT.
Arun Rajamani echoed this sentiment, noting that English proficiency significantly enhances employability and opens global career opportunities. The centre will offer a variety of Cambridge English qualifications, including KET, PET, FCE, C1, and TKT, catering to students from ESOFT’s 40 branches across Sri Lanka.
