Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rizvi Salih, launching the internet edition of Colombo times in Tamil with Governor of Western Province Hanif Yusuf and other invitees

Colombo Times, in Sri Lanka which is currentlybeing published in English and Tamil, launched its Sinhala edition on Thursday, March 13 at an ifthar function at the Hotel Mandarina.

The Editor in Chief Colombo Times and Chief Correspondent for ArabNews in Sri Lanka Mohammad Rasooldeen hosted Ifthar reception at the Mandarina, Colombo on Thursday March 13. Deputy Speaker of Parliament Dr. Rizvi Salih and Ambassador of theKingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid Hamoud Alkahtani who were as specialguests and launched the new internet edition in the presence if Western Province Governor Hanif Yusuf.

At the ifthar event, Hejaaz International School Staff Ash SheikShafraz Iqbal addressed the gathering on the significance of Ramadan.Mohammad Rasooldeen presented a token of appreciation to the DeputySpeaker of Parliament Dr. Rizvi Salih, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid Hamoud Alkahtani and Travellor Global PrivateLimited Chairman Rizmi Reyal in appreciation of their services to thenation.The Diplomats of Malaysia, Cuba, Turkey, Indonesia, Maldives, Vietnam,Pakistan, Palestine, Bangladesh, Iran and Oman graced the occasion.The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented dates for the Ifthar ceremony.

The Editors, Deputy Editors, News Editors, Journalists,Representatives of Muslim Organizations and family members of Mohammad Rasooldeen were present at the event.
