Warning for Heavy Rain issued by the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre at 01.00 a.m. 17 August 2024, valid for next 12 hours for Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces and for Galle and Matara districts
Prevailing showery condition are expected to continue in the south-western part of the island due to the low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
Very heavy showers above 150 mm are likelyat some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
