Union Assurance partners with Kelaniya Uni to empower future leaders
Union Assurance has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Finance at the University of Kelaniya, furthering its commitment to empowering future leaders. This partnership builds on Union Assurance’s existing collaborations with the Universities of Wayamba and Sri Jayewardenepura.
The MOU signing ceremony at the University of Kelaniya was attended by senior management from both Union Assurance and the university, including Chief People Officer at Union Assurance, Nisansala Paranayapa, Vice-Chancellor of Kelaniya University, Senior Prof. Nilanthi De Silva, and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Prof. Bandara Wanninayaka.
Union Assurance’s Chief People Officer, Nisansala Paranayapa, highlighted that the partnership aims to offer specialized training programs and internship opportunities for university students. “We believe in the transformative power of upskilling our employees to deliver the highest quality of service. In the same spirit, we recognize the importance of empowering the youth, as they will play a key role in shaping Sri Lanka’s future business landscape,” he said.
