Thirty nine [39] hand over nominations to contest 2024 Presidential Election
Thirty Nine [39] of the forty contestants who placed deposits to contest the 2024 Presidential poll handed over their nomination papers to the Election Commission of Sri Lanka this morning. Nominations were accepted between 0900am and 1100am today.
22 individuals from recognized political parties, 01 from other political parties and 17 independent candidates place deposits before the deadline ended at 12 noon on Wednesday [14].
