Tharusha six for restricts St. Servatius’
Under 19 Cricket

Deciding to bat first St. Servatius’ collapsed to their lowest total this season as left arm paceman Tharusha Kodikara ripped through the batting line up with a six wicket haul on day one of the Under 19 traditional cricket encounter at Uyanwatta Stadium on Wednesday.
On a twenty wickets day dominated by speedsters, Tharusha needed just 13 overs for his six wickets.
In their essay Gurukula took a first innings lead as Denura Dimansith and Janith Mihiranga made made 30 and 24 runs respectively.
Meanwhile the Under 19 Division I Tier ‘B’ tournament match between De Mazenod and Sri Sumagala got off to a late start due to wet conditions at Bandaragama.
Only 56 overs were possible on day one. De Mazenod were 188 for 8 wickets at stumps.
