Taxila meet P. de S. Kularatne MV in Under 19 Division II Tier ‘B’ final

Finalists of the last season, P. de S. Kularatne MV, Ambalangoda and Taxila Central, Horana will clash for the second consecutive time for the title of the Under 19 Division II Tier ‘B’ cricket tournament at BRC ground today.

Taxila will enter the final under the captaincy of Anjana Jayalath while P. de S. Kularatne are captained by Hirusha Dewmika.

P. de S. Kularatne reached the final after beating Bandaranayake MV, Gampaha (quarter-final) and Sri Jayawardenapura MV, Kotte (semi-final) during the knockout stage. It was a huge accomplishment after reaching the knockout stage as the third placed team in their group during the first round.

On the other hand, Taxila were the champions of their group in the first round and knocked out Kingswood (quarter-final) and Christ King College, Ja Ela (semi-final) to secure the final berth.

Last time when they reached the final they were declared joint champions.
