Tantalize 2022: Search for Lanka’s University Talent
Tantalize has become the most awaited sensation as one of the biggest Inter-University Talent searches in Sri Lanka, organized by the Student Activity Club of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), Colombo.
Over the years this was recognized as a platform that produced amazing young talents such as Illuminate, and Blaze and other noteworthy artists of the entertainment industry of Sri Lanka. After a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tantalize is back bigger and better for the 12th year, said an APIIT press release.
Auditions rounds were completed on Oct 8 and 15 in search of the best talent to be sent to the final rounds. Expert training from respected artists of the entertainment industry for the finalists of the different categories was accomplished through a workshop on Nov 05. The grand finale is set to happen on Nov 24 at Nelum Pokuna Theatre from 6.30pm onwards with 14 finalists in the four categories of singing, dancing, bands, and instrumentals from eight Lankan universities and will be graced by a lineup of Sri Lanka’s top-notch artists such as Daddy, NEWS and Wasthi.
All proceedings of the event will be donated to Little Hearts Foundation to expedite the construction of Lady Ridgeway Hospital’s Cardiac and Critical Care to provide timely, appropriately, and the best possible care to all children in all Sri Lanka.
