Suspect injured in police shooting hospitalised
A man was hospitalised after Police opened fire at the Gala Junction, in Kiribathgoda, after being shot by the police during the early hours of yesterday (11).
The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. when Police on patrol approached a suspicious individual near a motorcycle.
The suspect allegedly attempted to flee, prompting an officer to open fire. The injured man was admitted to Ragama Hospital, while investigations are ongoing.
