SLGBC holds 25th Annual General Meeting
The 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sri Lanka – Germany Business Council (SLGBC) was recently held at Hilton Colombo Residences. Dr. Felix Neumann, Ambassador of Germany to Sri Lanka, highlighted the strong partnership between the two countries and Germany’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s economic recovery. He also noted Germany’s long-standing impact through vocational training initiatives in Sri Lanka and the presence of approximately 300 German brands in the country.
Asoka Hettigoda, Chairman & Managing Director of Hettigoda Industries, was re-elected as the President for 2024-2025. He emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and investment ties with Germany.
The AGM also saw the election of Karim Schadlou and Roy Anthony as Vice Presidents, with new committee members elected from various business sectors.
