Sixty seven newly enlisted officers to Sri Lanka Navy receive letters of appointment
Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera handed over letters of appointment to 35 Officer Cadets of the 65th intake, 29 Direct Entry officers and 03 Officer Cadets who qualified for university admission through University Grants Commission (UGC).
The letters of appointment were handed over at a ceremony held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium at the Navy Headquarters on Wednesday (28).
The newly enrolled 35 Officer Cadets belong to the Executive, Engineering, Supply, Electrical and Electronic and Naval Infantry branches of the Regular Naval Force. The 29 Direct Entry officers and lady officers will be serving in the Volunteer Naval Force and 03 Cadet Officers who qualified for university admission through UGC will be absorbed into Medical, Dental and Engineering branches on successful completion of their degree programmes.
