Six petitions challenging Anti-Terrorism Bill filed

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena yesterday announced in Parliament that six petitions had been filed challenging the Anti-Terrorism Bill as at yesterday.
The Speaker said that he had received copies of six petitions filed at the Supreme Court under Article 121(1) of the Constitution in respect of the Bill titled “Anti-Terrorism”.
The Speaker also informed the House that two petitions had been filed at the Supreme Court in respect of the Bill titled “Microfinance and Credit Regulatory Authority”.
