Six elephants were killed when they collided with trains on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The accidents took place at Ambanpola and Galgamuwa.Four elephants collided with the night mail on its way to Kankesanthurai around 11.45 pm on Wednesday. All of them died.Two other elephants collided with the express train from Batticaloa to Colombo, between Galkadawala and Udakadawala at Habarana. Both of them died.
