Sir D.B. Jayatilaka commemorated

The 76th Independence anniversary was celebrated with an event to commemorate Sir D.B. Jayatilaka and it was jointly organised by the Vidayalankara Pirivena and the Urumayaka Ulpatha Foundation.

The Most Ven. Professor Kumburugamuwe Vajira, Chancellor of the University of Sabaragamuwa was the chief guest at the event. Senior journalist Lakshman Piyasena, the author of Sir D.B. Jayatilaka’s biography (Baron Magaarunu Maga) published by the Pathfinder Foundation, delivered the keynote address.

Milinda Moragoda, Founder of the Pathfinder Foundation and Urumayaka Ulpatha; R.A.D. Sirisena, Secretary of the Urumayaka Ulpatha Foundation; and other senior officials also participated. The book is a publication of the Pathfinder Foundation
