Sinhala and Tamil New Year Celebrated in Papua New Guinea

Sinhala and Tamil New Year was celebrated in Port Moresby city with the participation of Sri Lankans community in Papua New Guinea. This event was organised by the Sri Lanka Papua New Guinea Friendship Foundation. The celebration included lighting a traditional oil lamp, offering betel leaves to parents by children, traditional breakfast table, Singithi Awuridu Kumara and Kumari, performance by children and games for adults and children.
