Several spells of showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Northern, Eastern and Uva provinces after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm are likely at some places.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Due to the development of an atmospheric disturbance in the lower atmosphere in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, showery condition is expected to be enhanced across the island from this evening.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.
Showers may occur in the Northern and North-western provinces during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur in most parts of the island after 1.00 p.m. Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in the Northern, North-central, Central, Eastern, North-western and Uva provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
