Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts while a few showers may occur in the North-western province.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.

Due to the influence of the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern and North-central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Therefore, general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by heavy rain, strong winds and lightning during thundershowers

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kaluthara districts during the early hours of the morning.
Due to the low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Showers or thundershowers will occur at most part of the Island after 1.00 p.m. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
