Showers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Eastern and Uva provinces during the evening or night.
Strong winds about (40-45)kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in North-central and Southern provinces.
Winds will be Westerly or South-westerly in direction and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up toabout (45-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Kankasanthurai and from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle and up to 60 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota and from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota and from Kankasanthurai to Puttalam via Mannar will be rough at times while the sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Kankasanthurai and from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle may be fairly rough at times. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. A few showers may occur in the Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central province and in Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar districts.
