Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the morning.
Showers may occur in coastal areas of the western and southern provinces and in Puttalam and Mannar districts during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 2.00PM. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Uva and Eastern provinces.
Winds will be south-westerly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankasanthurai via Mannar.
