The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning during thundershowers as the atmospheric conditions are favorable further for afternoon thundershowers in most parts of the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Showers may occur at few places in the Northern and Eastern provinces and in Hambantota district during the morning while Showers or thundershowers will occur in the most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces.
Winds will be North-easterly or variable in direction in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed will be (15-30) kmph in the sea areas around the island.
The sea areas around the islandwill be slight to moderate. Strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Kaluthara, Badulla, Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.
Several spells of showers may occur in Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Southern province and in Kaluthara and Rathnapura districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Galle and Matara districts. Mainly fair weather will prevail in other areas of the island.

A few showers may occur in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in Matale, Nuwara-Eliya, Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Ratnapura, Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts after 2.00 p.m. Mainly fair weather will prevail in the other areas of the island.

A few showers may occur in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa, Matale, Nuwara-Eliya, and Hambantota districts while fair weather will prevail in the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about 40 kmph can be expected at times over the Eastern slopes of the central hills and the north-western province and in Ampara, Hambantota, and Monaragala districts.
