The showery condition is expected to enhance in the Northern, North-central, Central, Uva and Eastern provinces in next few days from today.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the North-central, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.

Showers will occur at times in the Northern, North-central, Central, Uva, Eastern provinces and in Hambantota district. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in Polonnaruwa district. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Central and Uva provinces and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts. Showers or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
