Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Several spells of showers may occur in North-central, Eastern and Uva Provinces while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.
Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed may increase up to (40-45) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota.

The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Showers may occur in the coastal areas of the Western and Southern provinces and in Puttalam, Mannar, Jaffna and Ampara districts in the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at most places of the island during the afternoon or night. Fairly heavy rainfall of above 75 mm are likely at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-central, Southern and Eastern provinces.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
