Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
A few showers may occur in the Southern Province in the morning too.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Fairly heavy showers likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Ampara district during the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over the coastal areas of Puttalam to Galle via Colombo during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva North-western, Northern and North-central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Winds will be southwesterly or variable and wind speed will be (20-30)kmph.
Sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

ACTION REQUIRED
Job sites: Stay hydrated and takes breaks in the shade as often as possible.
Indoors: Check up on the elderly and the sick.
Vehicles: Never leave children unattended.
Outdoors: Limit strenuous outdoor activities, find shade and stay hydrated.
Dress: Wear lightweight and white or light-colored clothing.

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western coastal areas during the morning and at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northern, North-western, North-central and Uva, provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Matara via Colombo and Galle.
Winds will be westerly or variable and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
Sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
