Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Few showers may occur in the North Western Province.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Ampara, Monaragala and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the Central hills, Northern, North-central, Central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota Districts.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The low-level atmospheric disturbance still persists in the vicinity of Sri Lanka. Under the influence of the system, cloudy skies and showers or thundershowers are expected at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces, and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places. elsewhere of the island after 1.00 p.m.

Heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in the North-central, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and North-western provinces. A few showers will occur in the Western province and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
