Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central, Southern, North-Western, Uva and North-Central provinces during the afternoon or night.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the island.
Winds will be south-westerly in direction over the sea areas from Kankasanthurai to Hambantota via Mannar, Colombo and Galle, and it will be south-easterly or variable in direction in the rest of the sea areas around the island, wind speed will be (20-30) kmph
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershower.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. A few showers may occur in the Anuradhapura and Hambantota districts.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, the Northern and North-central provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts. Fairly strong winds about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the other areas of the island.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
