Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts and may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Mullaitivu districts after 2.00 p.m. Several spells of showers may occur in the North-western province.
Strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the North-central, North-western, Central and Southern provinces and Trincomalee District.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

The atmospheric conditions are getting favorable for afternoon thundershowers in most parts of the island from today (01).
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the early hours of the morning.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most part of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Eastern and North central provinces and in Mannar district.

Showers above 50 mm are likely at some places inthe Uva, Eastern and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 1.00 p.m.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva, Eastern and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mullaittivu districts after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in the above areas.
A Few shower may occur in the coastal areas of the Western Province and Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
