Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere of the island during the evening or night. Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills and in North-western province and in Ampara, Monaragala and Hambantota districts.
Winds will be south-westerly in the sea areas and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph but wind speed can increase up to (50-55) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Batticaloa via Matara, Hambantota and Pottuvil.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Batticaloa via Matara, Hambantota and Pottuvil may be fairly rough at times but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island.
Winds will be north-easterly and speed will be (20-30) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 40 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Negombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Negombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota can be fairly rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be slight.
