Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Anuradhapura, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts during the afternoon or night.
Winds will be South-easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Heat index, the temperature felt on human body is expected to increase up to ‘Caution level’ at some places in Northern, North-central, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern, Southern and North-Western provinces and Monaragala district.
The Heat Index Forecast is calculated by using relative humidity and maximum temperature and this is the condition that is felt on your body. This is not the forecast of maximum temperature. It is generated by the Department of Meteorology for the next day period and prepared by using global numerical weather prediction model data.
Effect of the heat index on human body is mentioned in the above table and it is prepared on the advice of the Ministry of Health and Indigenous Medical Services.
ACTION REQUIRED
Job sites: Stay hydrated and takes breaks in the shade as often as possible.
Indoors: Check up on the elderly and the sick.
Vehicles: Never leave children unattended.
Outdoors: Limit strenuous outdoor activities, find shade and stay hydrated.
Dress: Wear lightweight and white or light-colored clothing.

Showers or thundershowers may occur over the coastal areas of Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota during the morning Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Southern provinces after 2.00 p.m.
Winds will be south-easterly or variable and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
Sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

A few showers may occur over the coastal areas of Puttalam to Galle via Colombo during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Central and North-western provinces and in Anuradhapura, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers more than 50 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle.
Winds will be southwesterly or variable and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph.
Sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
