Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the morning.
Showers will occur in Eastern province and in Hambantota and Jaffna districts during the morning while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most provinces of the island after 02.00PM. Fairly heavy showers above 75mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Winds will be North-easternly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-25) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Uva province and in Ampara, Batticaloa and Hambantota districts after 2.00 p.m. Dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the Central hills, the North-central and North-western provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Matale districts.
